As a geographer, traveler, and inhabitant on our shared planet I occupy myself by learning about (and sharing with others) the myriad ways in which the human species interacts with and impacts our environments and landscapes. I have lived in, studied in, or traveled in 12 countries during which I have observed, participated in, and learned from different ways of being and conceptualizing humanity's relationship with and reliance on environment and nature. Building a better world today, one that can sustain into perpetuity human and non-human life with just and equitable practices such that we can all live lives with dignity in the places we choose to live, is a guiding motivation for my work.
